Be an abolitionist

I am completely broke and so I haven't done much cooking lately

I DID make a pumpkin bisque which was OH so delicious! Our principals secretary, Sherry helped me with it, it seemed like it was missing something, she threw in a packet of splenda and it was perfect!
I was in such a fall mood I also made some pumpkin ginger bread for my girls gospel community. I was a little nervous because I had never tried the recipe before and i brought it over straight from the oven. A little slap of light canola oil butter and Mmmmm Mmmm good!
Did I mention I've lost 13 lbs now! Whoot! 25 left to go!  I hope to reach a loss of 20 lbs by Christmas. If I do that, I will be the same size I was when I was in college!!

Though today, I wanted to write on a more serious note. On the top of my blog I am putting links to some foundations you can check out to help, if this touches your heart as well, but I wanted to create a list of all of the information I have been able to find on the internet about human trafficking. Please go through the information carefully, lovingly and with a humble heart. My prayer is that God will put it on your heart to help by donating money, volunteering, or simply spreading awareness.

Weekend Cook

I've decided I need to be a weekend cook. The week is much too busy for me to make myself meals and so I resort to fast food restaurants and School Lunches. BLECH!

I just made some whole wheat chocolate chip cookies, some almond crusted chicken strips and I will set up  the crockpot to make pumpkin bisque during the day tomorrow. I have the baked beans and corn and squash. I also have left over corn chowder. I will be making some pumpkin bread as the week goes on as well.

Beans Beans the Wonderful Fruit

I made the baked beans today with the corn and Zuchini Delight. the Corn and Suash delight was really easy and yummy. The baked beans were a little complicated. I'm not sure how to make the beans soften more, they seam really hard, but maybe that's 'cause i'm used to baked beans in a can? I added a little brown sugar and KC BBQ sauce to the recipe. The sauce was good but the beans were a little harder than I expected.
